A Day at the Riverfront

We took the kids to the riverfront and they loved it!

Mommy's Arms

It is just me and Maria up right now and she was pulling herself up on the couch and fell back.  As she was crying, she looked up at me with outstretched arms and gave the most pathetic "mama" I've ever heard .....  so sweet :)

As soon as I picked her up, she snuggled in and the crying stopped.  While rocking her, I couldn't help but notice that she no longer fits "in" my arms.  My, how fast this is going! 

I couldn't help but think there is going to come a day that she doesn't want mommy to pick her up, to rock her or hold her and the thought of that made me want to cry.  But then I thought about how I am 31, a mother myself, but it is still my mom's arms I want to run to the most ....... so I know deep down, no matter what her age, she will always need my arms.

I can't get over how much Maria looks just like her cousin Emma did as a baby!

The first time we got to see Maria's face on an ultrasound, I immediately started crying and said she looked just like Emma!

They are such beautiful girls!
